About SAHBA Inc
Proudly serving the Hazara Behsood community in South Australia — honouring our heritage, supporting our members, and building a future together.
How We Began
The South Australian Hazara Behsood Association Incorporated (SAHBA Inc) was founded by a small group of dedicated community members who recognised the need for a formal organisation to unite, support, and celebrate the Hazara Behsood people settling in South Australia.
In the years following significant waves of migration from Afghanistan, our founders saw families and individuals arriving in Adelaide with rich cultural traditions, deep resilience, and a strong desire to maintain their identity while building new lives. SAHBA Inc was established to be the home that community needed.
From humble beginnings — small gatherings in community halls and private homes — the association has grown into a recognised and respected organisation, hosting major cultural events, providing welfare support, and advocating for the interests of Hazara Behsood Australians across the state.
